Call for Special Sessions

Call for Special Sessions PDF

The program for IEEE ICMLCN 2024 will include Special Sessions that complement the technical program in the fields of machine learning, communication, and networking. Proposers should follow the instructions below to submit the Special Session proposals.

  • Each Special Session proposal should include Title, Abstract (limited to one paragraph), Motivation, Background, and Importance of the session proposal including why this Special Session is required besides the regular conference program.
  • Proposals should include a short biography of the organizers (150- 200 words each).
  • Proposals should include a list of contributed papers, and their potential impact in the session, including title, affiliations, and short abstract (one paragraph) of each paper in the list.
  • Papers in the Special Sessions will be submitted by the same deadline as the proposal (no open Call for Papers), and these papers will follow the exact same review process as regular papers (instructions are provided on the conference website).
  • No author including the organizers can appear as co-author in more than one paper, and the targeted number of papers in each session is at least five.
  • Proposals will be evaluated by the Special Session Chairs, based on relevance to the conference, impact of contributed papers, and the session organizing committee’s track record of previous Special Sessions in flagship IEEE conferences.
  • Once the proposal is accepted, as appropriate Special Session Chairs can identify the inclusion of regular papers to complete the Special Session or merge sessions to form a broader theme.
  • If the proposal is rejected, any accepted papers will be included in the program as regular papers.

Proposals should be submitted by email to the Special Sessions Chairs Aryan Kaushik (aryan.kaushik@sussex.ac.uk), Carlo Fischione (carlofi@kth.se), and Le Liang (lliang@seu.edu.cn). Special Session papers will be submitted via EDAS
